The Welcome Note | Blank White Envelope

Hey there, I’m Anna.

Long before my own nuptials in August 2016, I dreamed of crisp envelopes, delicately inscribed with classing looping calligraphy and the dreamy details pictured in glossy wedding magazines. Hailing from a small town in North Louisiana, it was only natural to invite half the population – plus my groom’s large New Orleans area family – and all of our friends from LSU, of course.

As you can imagine, that would have been SOME calligraphy bill, but I was bound and determined for my cipher-monogrammed, letterpressed invitations to greet my guests with hand-inked addresses. Many hours [and ink stains] later, I’d mixed the perfect royal blue and sent around 400 envelopes on their way.

I believe in tradition, but also shaking things up a bit when it’s appropriate. Pearls, stained glass and Southern Magnolia blooms paired with a funk band and a sparkler send off.

If you love details, then I’m your girl. Table numbers, hand lettered signs and pretty place cards make my heart sing.

Saw something you love in a magazine, or want to recreate a Pinterest project? I’m game. Hand me a pen and I’ll letter anything that sits still long enough.

So let’s make something beautiful together. Send me a note, tell me your big ideas and let’s make it happen. Life’s too short to skimp on the details.
